| I have
scanned a photo of my father, PFC Robert E. Lano, with part of
the original 2nd Platoon of A-Company of the 4th Raiders that
was taken on Guadalcanal in 1943. The names of the Raiders in
this photo were documented by Dad's friend and fellow Raider,
Tom Jones, who passed away several years ago. The names have
been transcribed here from Tom's
written letter:
