Happy 4th Anniversary To Us! It's
hard to believe, but we've been on the web for four years, and thanks
to you we've really grown! Below are some new pictures sent in by YOU
- our thanks and gratitude are yours

We have discovered the idenity of this Raider -
thanks to his daughter Katherine who wrote in and told us that this is none
other than Col. Currin - one of the commanders of the 4th Raider
Battalion!

1st Lt. Robert Tosch of D Company, 2nd Raiders.
He gave these to Dave Saulque who sent them to us.. From Buck Sgt to
commissioned rank in February 42 on Espiritu Santo, made 1st Lt. right
after Bouganville. He then went to Pendleton as a BAR instructor and
also handled Battalion field exercises. WE thank him for the pictures
& commentary on this and the following 4th Anniversary pages.

Picture at age 76, if I look tired I am tired!

His buddy Angie who's now on a big ranch out of
Reno!

How about that? Novel way of transportation.
This is one of the native wives, of which they have six to ten.

A picture of the typical native shack we lived
in during our whole stay on Guadalcanal. Sometimes they leaked when it
rained.

Chow Time For Marines. The menu is rice, bacon
and tea. A sock full of rice, a hunk of bacon, and a double handful of
tea. This was our only diet for 30 days. I don't like rice anymore.

Recreation Center - Service for Men ONLY! The
two pictured are members of the lonely hearts club.
